Alan joined OneWhoServes in July of 2019 after managing the IT Team for a local healthcare software vendor. He is a well-rounded IT professional with over 20 years of experience from server to tablet, network to cloud, and every environment in between. Alan is highly skilled in infrastructure planning and implementation, project management, mentoring of IT support teams, and has specialized experience in healthcare, legal and cybersecurity. He enjoys resolving client issues and working with client organizations of all sizes to enhance their IT systems, so they work better for their business. One of his greatest skills is bringing technical understanding to non-technical folks, which is a trait that’s highly valued by all of his clients. Alan’s interest in computers and love of technology started at a very young age. He was probably the first kid on the block with his own phone line for a modem! Since the very beginning, he knew that technology was his calling.
My family and I moved to WNC from Atlanta in 2016. Looking for cleaner air and easy accesses to the great outdoors, we settled in Weaverville, where we enjoy tending to our mini homestead of flower beds, vegetable gardens, and a flock of crazy chickens. On weekends, we can be found hiking, traveling, seeing live music, and going to Tourists games. Our family philosophy is, “A home open to all of life’s potential; a home filled with respect for all people; a home based on love and understanding.”
I attended the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!), am a life-long Atlanta Braves fan, and am known to dominate in my family Fantasy Football league. Like any good southerner, I’m a BBQ enthusiast, and can smoke a mean rack of ribs, chicken wings, and anything else you can throw on my Big Green Egg.
